International Cooperation in Nuclear Technology
In order to maintain the current benefit of nuclear technology and secure non-proliferation, KONICOF aims to build capacity for public diplomacy and technological cooperation. Especially, the international transfer of technology and nuclear material should be strictly controlled and monitored. Its safety should also be verified by the international and technological standard.
Multilateral cooperation
We attempt to improve Korea's global position by strengthening cooperation channels such as International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) under OECD, Global Nuclear Energy Partnership (GNEP), Forum for Nuclear Cooperation in Asia (FNCA), Asia Nuclear Safety Network (ANSN), International Nuclear Regulator Association (INRA), etc.
Bilateral cooperation
We promote exchanges of information and experts with about 20 countries through bi-national nuclear commissions, ministerial meetings and expert forum.
